Printed electronics product development
Internet of Things
Printed electronics are crucial in the development of the Internet of Things and next generation wearable products, in which objects become increasingly smart, gathering and share information with other objects and the cloud. Our homes, cars and even clothes are being fitted with a wide range of sensors, smart labels, loggers and tags, all of which can be manufactured at low-cost by using printed electronics.
“Our advanced product development skills enable us to integrate electronics in any type of material, creating affordable smart objects.”
Enabling new possibilities
2M Engineering uses its expertise in sensor product development, wireless connectivity and smart algorithms and combines that with printed electronics prototyping and production capabilities of our PE partners. This allows us to offer a printed electronics product development project from beginning to end including certification and final production.
Our approach to printed electronics product development
We combine conventional electronics with screen printing-techniques to integrate functionality directly on various lightweight and flexible materials such as plastics, textiles, TPU and paper. This allows the integration of a wide range of electronics – sensors, connectivity, heating – in any object, whatever its shape, size or material. Printed electronics provides new innovative solutions and enhanced design flexibility, and is in some cases also more cost-effective to manufacture.
