2M NODEs is a state-of-the-art development platform for the analysis and reporting of human kinematics. The platform features high-accuracy wearable inertial sensors, an easy-to-integrate mobile API/SDK and community support from 2M experts.
Wearable sensor platform
NODEs is a modular solution available in different executions:
- Low latency wired NODEs
A wired NODEs system works with strings of 1-4 NODEs per string. A main unit can connect 1-5 strings. This provides solutions from 1 to 20 sensor NODEs depending on the needs of the application. Benefit of a wired solution is the ease of setup.
- Fully wireless NODEs
For applications that require between 1-6 sensor NODEs there is also a full wireless motion sensing solution available.
From 1 upto 20 sensor NODEs
Nodes represents a new class of highly-scalable, low-latency real-time wireless inertial and orientation sensors. Solutions can consist of 1 upto 20 NODES depending on your application needs.
Direct interface to Unity or Matlab
2M NODEs directly interface to Unity and Matlab through the easy-to-integrate mobile API/SDK. 2M provides community support to make integration of these sensors easy.

Using the latest MEMS sensor technology available, NODES is specifically designed for fine-grained, low power, mobile motion capture with extreme low latency required for Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality applications.
Designed for medical use
NODES is designed for day to day practical use in a professional or home rehabilitation setting. The sensor NODEs can quickly be placed and calibration is easy also for patients with certain movement restrictions.
Motion sensor network
The NODEs motion sensor network consists of 1-20 9DOF motion sensors that sample and transmit motion or raw orientation information at high data rates in a fully synchronized manner wirelessly to a mobile device or computer.
The NODES software enables real-time visualization of sensor data, as well as over-the-air reconfiguration of the sensors and wireless parameters. All data retrieved by the NODES Studio software is logged for post-analysis.
Bluetooth or Bluetooth Low Energy
The sensor data is transmitted using the low-power 2.4 GHz wireless Bluetooth radio from a central node to the mobile device or computer.
9DOF motion tracking sensors
Each NODE features a complete set of 3-D digital sensors, offering 9 DOF sensor data: acceleration, turn rate (gyroscope) and magnetic field intensity (compass). Full 3D orientation information, expressed as quaternions, is also made available to the user. Users can also select the raw data rate mode.
