Coen Lauwerijssen – Director Product Development & Marketing
Coen Lauwerijssen graduated in electronic engineering from University of Twent e (cum laude) with a minor in business administration. Coen spent 8 years working in Philips. Started within the Centre for Industrial Technology supporting businesses and factories with technological and process knowhow. Coen held positions as system developer and project manager. At that time Coen was also involved in drafting a business plan to start a Philips incubator supporting new internal start-ups: @dVenture$. Within Consumer Electronics he held a position as product/marketing manager ‘wireless concepts’ and successfully introduced the Wireless TV Link for Philips. Later he was responsible for creation and global introduction of the Wireless Media Link product range being one of the originators behind the Philips Connected Planet concept. He then moved to Domestic Appliances working for the newly formed business of Consumer Health and Wellness (CHW). Here he contributed as business analyst, strategizing and analyzing business merger and acquisition opportunities for Philips. During his next assignment he was based in Hong Kong for 2 years to set-up a local for local business for CHW in Asia: sourcing locally, selling locally. He was responsible for the health monitoring product range and initiated various strategic marketing partnerships in the wellness area. His last position in Philips was within the Lifestyle incubator as Consumer Marketing Director for the DirectLife venture: a product/web service solution helping employees to lead a more healthy lifestyle by become more active. Coen joined 2M Engineering January 2008 were he is responsible for marketing, sales and product realization.
