Sensors

2M Engineering has broad and in-depth experience across the complete spectrum of sensors, ranging from commercially available sensors to highly innovative, custom made sensors. 2M Engineering uses their expertise to develop and produce these sensors in-house. Sensor development can include mechanics, electronics, firmware, and software.

Laser & optics

Conventional laser and LED technologies have been matured for years and have reached their limits. New medical, consumer and industrial applications require innovative photonic solutions that use shorter wavelengths, more efficiency, significant size reductions and lower cost. Photonic Crystal technology is expected to provide the technological breakthrough in opto-electronics for the next decades. One of the spearheads in 2M Engineering’s technology roadmap is the development of new processes and equipment for these technologies.

Connectivity

More and more products transfer, exchange and synchronize content information with other devices. Think for example, about an MP3 player receiving music information from a PC. There is a strong trend to have digital information available anywhere, anytime, anyplace without restricting the user in any way. This leads to new wireless solutions based on radio frequency or optical technologies or wired fiber optics solutions enabling transfer of vast amounts of high speed data. 2M Engineering is active in many of these new connectivity technologies.

Electronics

2M Engineering is experienced in high-speed (up to 40Gbps) analog and digital (FPGA, microcontrollers) electronics, including opto-electronic LEDs and photo diodes.

We write code for our solutions including data acquisition, control, analysis and end-user visualization and interaction. This includes embedded microcontroller firmware, PC applications and web based internet applications.
